One. Having shorts published doesn't help a whole lot unless they are in major journals. At least not for literary fiction.

The one I got published in was too avant garde/ obscure to be of due note I think. I haven't' been including it in the query letters. Though It may be more credible to agents than I know.

At any rate, I don't much like short stories.

I have some really complimentary rejection letters and a couple agents are looking at the manuscript now.
