ok. i guess we need a london meat thread. so we can start coordinating attendance.
hopefully given the announced event in october is on a saturday, so that should maximise the possibilities for people turning up.

would be good if there were more events like last time, a reading in particular would be good. so i guess we need to keep our eyes peeled for that possibility and how that extends the trip.

worst case scenario for me (most of us i guess) is travel after work friday, gather saturday, and disperse. but hopefully i'll at least try and get a few days off. my monthly reporting at work is due that week, so it might be tricky, but we'll see.

who is coming?
for how long?
what else?

Another (expensive) announced event on Monday 4th

http://www.intelligencesquared...bson-on-zero-history

We're here.. obviously, mid week evenings not great for *me*, but considering shipping the small person to my Mums for the weekend that includes the 9th..

ah. glad that there is another event. would have been disappointed if there wasn't.

but yeah, that gap is going to be interesting. well, not like i don't have time off. and should be able to pull stuff together for then.

Nice find, Mrs.K. The new discussion on Monday makes trip planning more difficult. I was expecting to do a Friday-Monday trip, but now I'll wait to see what else is turning up and how many days I can afford to take off of work and pay for London lodging.

Its highly highly unlikely we'll have moved.. but if we have, there will be available lodgings.. not very central, but on the tube atleast!

I'm kind of presuming there will be more between the monday and saturday?? Unless he pops off to Paris or something in between.

Maybe we can arrange a private reading Wink

(and before anyone else thinks I was very clever finding that event.. Mr G tweeted it this morning!)

We might not make it to the reading, but we will surely make it to the signing on the 9th!

Same here. Monday 4th and Saturday 9th is thinkable bad. Would have to travel London and back twice in one week.

The weekend appears like the better option to me.

I should be able to make both events. Just bought a ticket for the 4th (by phone - couldn't get the website to work in Opera or Firefox...)

best,

Wouldn't it be nice if the cheapest available airfare to LHR wasn't $900 per person.

Last book, the only reason I got to see him read is because I managed to win tickets to the CBC taping, that was the only Vancouver event. Frown

So far I'm leaning toward the weekend around the 9th rather than trying to finance Monday-Saturday....

I intend to come as well. Though a whole week is financially out of the question.
