Certainly; while a hotel 'room isn't exactly public, there have been some great shots here taken in such locations.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the semi-private hotel room pic, but it was my trail run, and I like how I look cross-eyed from squinting at my viewfinder so hard. (Misty, you make me glad I didn't post the one where I was grinning at how the magnifying mirror made my head look fat.)
