yay! good news. for anyone who doesn't know, i have a piece in this issue, illustrated by my brother. not the piece i had originally intended to submit, but thats how these things work. its short, and tight, and i'm pretty pleased with the result.

Congrats to at least two familiar meat world names :-) Both strong pieces! Great illustration too.

Rather later than I wished... the June (oops) July issue of Mythaxis is now available, containing, among other items, another story from remote. C'mon, Wigbers, let's have some more submissions from you for the next issue!

>>What do you want? Short stories with an sf or fantasy theme. Artwork, cartoons, serious critical reviews of a specific author or genre. See Mythaxis About. We are trying to create a "serious literary magazine" feel for the publication, hence no Star Wars or Startrek or Battlestar or Doctor Who references. However, we are not humourless, as you will see if you read a few of the recent issues. See Mythaxis Submissions for format.

It'll be October for the next one. I can take submissions up till end-September. Traffic is still pretty low - about 2300 unique visits, but it's building. I haven't yet persuaded Boing Boing to take an interest.

i posted on whitechapel for the last two issues. first got zero response, second time i got a couple. looking at draft of next piece its rougher than i thought, but should still be sorted by september. and checked brother's schedule, think he should be ok for that for illustration as well, though he has other projects on. how about other submissions, i was under impression before that you had plenty last time we discussed that?

Sure, I still have stories I haven't used. Various reasons: o multiple stories from single author; o need too much editing; o way too long; o too fantasy, not enough sf o etc
