My Penguin parade,

next, just the covers, mind you and dig Gaetano's exultant Deco, add its reprisal isn't horrendous I'm no Tolkien fan -- you may remember this smartened cover series, made to look Modern Library / Penguinish. I like the original ideas. Exotic heraldry, not perfunctory composites. More scifi -- Schoenherr first, then colin and I could go on and on about Chip Kidd, work quoted a few posts up as "Michael Crichton: The Lost World". If this were a magazine cover thread . . . oh no, not enough pages in the world. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "No blossoms wither so quickly as yesterday's tomorrows." --Disch "He looked upon us as sophisticated children: smart but not wise." --said of Ishi |
