Joseph Cornell as a plot device again....I'm a huge Cornell fan thanks to Mr.Gibson.

I just finished reading "Martin Sloane" by Michael Redhill.

The Martin Sloane character creates Cornell boxes of his own. It's a excellent read. His use or lack thereof of punctuation in dialog is incredible. It's a haunting book.

It isn't cyberpunk but it is by a Canadian and a great read. I knew at about page 35 that I would be reading it at least 4 more times.

Cornell would have been 100 this Xmas.

if you're interested in more cornell inspired fiction, i know that dude who wrote 'everyingthing is illuminated' collected a bunch of short stories from a bunch of american phonies, i mean the american avanteguard, that involve cornell in one way or another. it's called 'a construct of birdness' or something along those lines.

i'm not recommending it, just saying is all.
