This is silly and hokey, but it's something I've never consciously realized before today, so there it is.

You can't force yourself to relax. You have to allow yourself to relax.

Silly and hokey, but it's a new idea to me, so thus a wrinkle forms in the gray matter.

Today I learned that, propelled by sufficient frustration, ordinary household pliers can make a perfectly fine substitute for a knife in regards to masking tape.

Today I learned:

1) That no matter how much I want to dress like a proper lady, I will always end up choosing the schoolgirl skirt and items with skulls and cats when I go shopping.

2) That my cat has a cold.

3) That there are very few substitutes for a good juicy steak and potstickers are not one of them.

4) That I eat more food on Saturday than any other day of the week.

You need a knife to cut masking tape?

He's right, you know. Krispy Kreme is owned by a corporation that has known ties to the major insulin producing companies of the US.

Don't forget worldwide cabals of dentists, lith.

Seriously: I love Krispy Kreme, but the original glazed donut? The one they make fresh in the store that melts as soon as you put your teeth to it?

I'm pretty sure I heard my teeth screaming tiny screams of pain.

Yes, the ADA's a player, but not as big as PancreaCorp - now based in their Carribean tax-shelter in the Isle of Langerhans.

Today I learned my mother has a penpal - an 8 year old innercity little girl named Mikayla. She likes dolphins and the Goosebumps series. Hee.

The simple mention of donuts makes my left arm ache... both krispy and dunkin donut franchises here have left quality slip down imo. I hate the glazed ones, prefer the cinnamon/chocolate kind... but last time I tried them, they were too greasy, too sweet.

...that when my dog wakes me at night, trying to burrow into the carpet, that she's nesting; trying to make a bed - obviously not happy with the mouse fur lining in her basket!

...that my video camera can take the odd knock (it bounced on the patio) and that sky shots (moving cloud) appear to look better on manual focus with zero zoom. Hmmmm.

...that Adobe Premiere 2.0 doesn't like importing divx avi films.

...that its important to leran at least one new thing every day.

That attempting to get fit in London is out of the price range of most. Or rather, definately out of my price range.

The only pool within an hours drive costs £41 a month. Many discounts if you work in the area (including half price if you work for the high paying BBC, who have two free gyms for their staff already, and including my employer) But muggins here only lives in the area, and only subsidises said pool with my council tax.

Its a joke.

That you should clap both hands over your eyes and blindly back out of the room if someone offers to show you a "funny video" and you see the title "2 girls 1 cup" come up. Seriously. You will incur permanent retinal & mental damage and blood stains on the carpet after the obligatory bludgeoning to death of your now ex-friend. Makes goatse seem like being shown a velvet painting of dogs playing poker.

How to set up an Invision message board on an internal server, which is quite a bit different than on the WWW.
