A glass of very tasty white wine - Marlborough Hills sauvignon blanc, which my wife found, liked, and bought a million bottles of.

Hard to go wrong with the Kiwi sauvignon blancs.
I was drinking this last night and it was FINE.

I just finished a glass of pink lemonade, and will probably have a nice cold beer with lime in a bit.

I've never been clear on that. For a long time I thought it was possibly lemonade with grenadine in it, but then there's no grenadine flavor, so now I think it's just lemonade colored bright pink to appeal to little girls.

I also like raspberry and strawberry lemonade. Very tasty on a hot day...and then there's the Electric Lemonade. Wink

Modern grenadine has no real flavour...(is it meant to be pomegranate?) methinks. It's just read syrup.

I'm thinking pink lemonade is just that. Lemonade. That's pink.

Schweppes down here market strawberry lemonade as Pink Lemonade, though.

Ah okay. Yes grenadine was originally a pomegranate flavored syrup. I've never tasted it straight so I don't know if it has flavor or not. At any rate the pink lemonade I was drinking was neon pink, but that's okay, it tasted good.

Coca Cola is one of only two or three sodas that I like.

Likewise. The downside is that I drink too much of it, and spend my days almost perpetually wired.

You say it like it's a bad thing.

Seriously, I hardly ever drink colas anymore. When I was a student I drank them all the time.

Now I'm drinking cold coffee. Again.

Augh! The phosporic acid! Your BONES!!!

I had to stop the cola. I have so many risk factors that osteoporosis is pretty much inevitable.

Hot chocolate. Better than cold coffee.

Indeed, sometimes I think I need an intervention.

Having spent the last coupla days needing to rise at 4am and be on my feet for three or four hours in a row, I've gone past the point of caffeinated beverages and into No-Doz territory. I popped three 2pm yesterday.

Watch out: those things will give you the stomach-rot something fierce.

Last evening, I got dinner at the university library cafe: tuna sandwich with a double espresso and a large coffee. When I ordered the drinks, the woman taking the order looked at me funny. I said, "It's kind of like my version of a shot and a beer."
