Hunter's Poem

I stop, dead still, the feeling on me tight:
There’s danger somewhere, in the bush or trees;
It’s you, this rain forest, but not in sight,
At all or anywhere - silence, no breeze.
And others, surly. You. At long felt last!
If only I had made the nature home,
My senses be as keen as yours, sight cast;
The city streets just aren’t the same to roam.
Of deer and antelope, there’s room for thought,
And all the greatness being lived, this plain.
I can’t see you. You can see me. I’m caught.
Just wait and wait some more. There won’t be pain.
When dawn becomes a sunset in your mind,
It’s hard to know if day or night you’ll find.

Talisker
then some Bordeaux red wine

Unpatriotic as it may seem, I prefer Talisker.

I am drinking a big plastic tumbler of Livingston Cellers Red Rose on ice. This foul little vintage is made for those with little or no appreciation for fine wine.

That's a shame, since even decent wine can be had for only a little bit more.

Coming up, some Carolina Blonde to go with chili...

Dude, you only drink it once.

Now, Aroma's Carmella blend of coffee. A light, sweet blend, drip filtered, with a delicate aroma and svelte-bodied mouthfeel, with little hint of astringent aftertase or winey characteristics.

In fact, almost tastes like Earl Grey tea.
