Rogue Brutal Bitter

Tasty American Ale. Coppery color. Cloudy. Well hopped, almost too much for a bitter. No alchohol taste. Its good. Recommended.

Samuel Adams Hallertau Imperial Pilsner

An Extreme Beer by Sammy. (I hate that term.) High alcohol, 8.8%, with no heat. Extreme hops. I'm used to extreme hops in IPA. The lager-brewing has an unexpected result, bringing out the malt. Copper color, with little head.

Recommended.

Rogue is the best microbrewery in the Northwest.

Booklyn Beer Company Black Chocolate Stout

Wow, this is a meaty glass of beer. I've had Imperial Stout's before, but this is a really *chewy* brew. High alchohold (10.6%), but not noticeably so. This is more like coffee than beer. Hops are there. This is a sipping beer. Don't be in a hurry to drink it.

Recommended for an unusual experience.

Just finished about a half-pint of Dewars and several Miller High Life's in the wonderful brown camo Limited Edition fall can. I'm very, very drunk and it's not a bad thing.

Sierra Nevada 12th Release Harvest Wet Hop Ale

Generally, I've liked all the Sierra Nevada 24 oz. special brews. This one included. This is a hoppy American Pale Ale. Amber colour. With more than ample hops, and malt. Its almost piney in places. Decent alchohol (6.2%), but not through the roof.

Good.

Perkett's Self Heating Fine Coffee Double Shot Latté.

It's got the heating power of quicklime!

I just want to say, Red Dwarf predicted this. Sure, it's not as fast as in the books, but it works.

It also tastes like arse.

Tasman Gold mid-strength beer. Not bad, but chosen because it was the cheapest thing in the shop and I have to read someone's thesis and beer is the small compensation I give myself for that task.

The fact that it's a mid is a bonus because it means I can have one even though I'm riding in a couple of hours.

thesis = beer

Do you see any 'sun' or 'yard arm' terms in that equation?
