i don't have any of his books - spotted one on import in borders last time i was in london - but it was sufficiently far into teh sequence that i left it there for kradlum to nab instead.

People have no idea how hard it is to find Womack's books. Even in Vancouver's 'White Dwarf' SF store.

i think pretty much they are out of print in the UK. borders in glasgow had one at one point, but it wasn't in great condition, and has since vanished.

i don't know if they have to be read in order. i know there were a few posts back in board history that discussed that kind of thing. i seem to have the impression that it helps though.

They are out of print everywhere. According to the guy from the Gibson-endorsed SF shop, there hasn't been a Womack book in print since 2001. (if I remember correctly)

books going out of print is annoying. so many cool books just gone. its why i end up scouring for second hand stuff.

there is a book town in scotland - wigtown - and i'm planning on going there saturday. hopefully get some good stuff!

Actually I have 'Ambient' and 'Terraplane', which are the first two volumes. I should be fine.
