GR, all your talk of flavoured beverages reminded me of something.

Marketing tarts were handing out bottles of stuff one day, and I took one. It had simple, black and white only label on it, a sort of solid...medical design.

Says its got natural flavours, etc. Designed to replace electrolytes, but meant to come off as healthy.

So I drank it, and it tasted like Gatorade...not because it was Gatorade, but when you put three or more processed "fruit" flavours in a beverage, it just tastes like Generic Fruitâ„¢ (The Lithos Law Of Diminishing Flavour Returns.) Sure, there are different Generic Fruitâ„¢ flavours, but you can't really pick the individual fruits. ("Processed" in food technology-speak, doesn't necessarily mean "unnatural". If it contains one molecule of natural anything, it's natural.) This one had dragonfruit in it (a fruit I'm rather fond of,) apparently.

Then I peeled off the label, and looked at the bottle.

It was a Gatorade bottle.

They were trying update Gatorade for health nuts.

Laughed. At least I didn't pay for it.
