I can break glass from twenty feet away by frowning at it, but to post on the WGB I need corporeal tech. I'm working on it.

Try smiling, it uses fewer muscles. (Maybe.)

Here's my laptop :

Asus A8JS

A fine machine.

My desktop computer has one of the server-style huge Antec boxes.
I can't remember the reference.

@ work - Lenovo T60p (no, that's an obvious lie - I don't have time to browse the net at work...)

My desktop is a proper rig, roll-your-own. None of this tailor crap. I lugged the components from Umart on my back - case and all.

The mobo is an Asus PQ-5a-32meow46lk-e.coli@54*&!KEKEKEKEKEKElolPwn - I don't know. Too long a fucking name. It was a bitch to Google. Kingston RAM, 2Gigs DDR2, with the fancy blue heatsinks that have approximately fuck-all impact on their performance. A Core2 Duo E7300 2.67Ghz...apparently running at 2.66Ghz. Hmm. I think I got ripped off. An iChill 8600GTS, 256MB.

The old-faithful Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro - I love break-out boxes. 120Gb IDE boot drive, 500Gb SATAII as extra space. BravusDrive as external storage.

Sitting on top of the CPU is a GBFO ThermalTake Big Typhoon. I know I throw the term GBFO a lot, but I think it really applies this time. I weighs nearly two pounds. The top side of the HS is the size of a CD jewel case.

It was a fucking bitch to mount.

The whole thing is held together with hope and spit and blood and Arctic Silver, inside a midi case that is black ("Nunmoor" I think is what they call that shade.) With a 10" fan in the side (the Dust Ingestion Port, as I like to call it.) Looks like it would be invisible to radar. Has the words "iCute" on the side.

Never trust a computer you can't open and then shred your knuckles on the HDD bracket.

Thank you all for responding to this thread as enthusiastically and technically as you have!
I love seeing and hearing about rigs in this geeky technical way Smile
It's HOT!

In hindsight, however, I wish I would have titled this thread,
"WGB personal web interface rigs (with specs AND pictures)"
Please post your rigs pics whenever and however possible, I'm getting mine ready to add to the thread now.
Thanks again and enjoy the beautiful tech!

Remember, most folks here are apple users, and wouldn't know a HSF from a northbridge chip.

They do know their arse from their elbows, though. I'll give 'em that much. It did take several years of intense research and intricate experiments, some of which went fatally wrong, but by gar they figured it out.

What?
What does Apple have to do with them taking pictures of their rigs?

What utter bollocks.

Everybody knows the Asus PQ-5a-32meow46lk-e.coli@54*&!KEKEKEKEKEKElolPwn is a Socket 478 motherboard. The Intel C2D E7300 is Socket 775. MacGyver couldn't make those two play nice together.

My bet is that lith is a closet Mac-fag. (Lith on left, the King of Tasmania.) He's cruz'n the information superhighway with a Mac Pro, and reveling in his unequaled expansion.

Wink
