Gangsters, one and all. I don't think we're any better. In fact, the Russian leadership obviously has access to better tailors.

They totally look like the bad guy and his henchmen from a Michael Bay movie. Judging from the wedding ring has this image been flipped? Does anybody else find the name 'putin' funny? No? Just me?
-- The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else. Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard - -over armies... when it's telling the truth.

I think the guy on the right was in several old Bond films. Probably why Putin hired him. "You stand beside me, look like one who strangle my enemy." "I thought you strangle enemy yourself." "Of course. You there for image only." -- and fuldog's The Future: cocking brilliant.

I wouldn't say that to his face. He always looks put out to me. Did you see his Time Man Of The Year cover photo? Looks like he's posing for a passport photo. Not a Russian passport, either. Oh, the passport would've been made in Russia, but wouldn't be a Russian passport. I kinda respect the guy, as he seems like the only modern world leader who would order an assassination and carry it out himself. I 'spose there'd be rejects like Idi Amin and Saddam who, if pressed, would try, but only Putin would actually manage to succeed. Would make for a fun extradition process. Gordon Brown: "Mr. Putin, we've found your DNA and fingerprints at the scene of Alexander Litvinenko's death."
Vladmir Putin: "Of course. You're having problems extraditing your suspect. Let me just sign the papers for you now."
Putin then stares at Brown for fifteen minutes without blinking.

Putin is a dangerous customer becuase he does with calculating chess-strategy what Bush does with inept Candyland antics. I love how we condemn the invasion of a sovereign nation. That has oil.

He's a scary guy lithos. from scraps of moscow"Mechel was selling steel in Russia at twice the price it put on exports," Putin said in televised comments. "And where has the margin for the state taxes gone?" Mechel's owner, billionaire Igor Zyuzin, was reportedly ill and not present at the meeting to hear Putin's threat. "The director has been invited, and he suddenly became ill,'' Putin said. "Of course, illness is illness, but I think he should get well as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will have to send him a doctor and clean up all the problems." [...] I think I would seek treatment in Switzerland.
