I watched Jim Jarmusch's Broken Flowers. Man I love Bill Murray. He really works well with Jarmusch's minimal approach, since he knows how to convey volumes with only a blink of the eyes or tilt of the head.

i just watched another sinbad movie, um sinbad and the eye of the tiger. with patrick wayne and patrick troughton. and a young and fetching jane seymour. gibbon, giant walrus, gull foot and trog! have to say though harryhausen didn't do as well with the tiny lady as he did 19years earlier.

warrior king - tony jaa is back, and this time one of his elephants is missing. requiring him to travel to sydney and beat up australian bad guys. its way over the top again, the fight sounds are cranked up to 12! the acting is appalling, australian tv seems to have a lot of thai newsreporters with very thickly accented english. oh, its just so bad, and yet, just like ong bak its strangely brilliant.

yeah they had a pretty tricky scene, where they showed the nice blue sky, the towering skyscrapers, then had kids jumping through the shot on roller blades and BMX bikes. before they all went charging into remote warehouse for huge fight.
sydney actually looked pretty cool in it!

Can anyone tell me about the Numb3rs TV series ?

I ignored it for that past few years.
But last weekend I found out that it's produced (among others) by Ridley and Tony Scott.
And also that the main character is played by Rob Morrow (aka Dr Joel Fleischmann, from 'Northen Exposure'!)

Now, I'm all ears.

i think i spotted it as being shown late night on bbc 2 one night, but not bbc 2 scotland for some reason.

I like Numb3rs. Rob Morrow plays an FBI agent that is helped in solving crime by his mathematician brother. Math gets used as a tool for profiling. I probably saw only the first season on tv. I thought it was getting better with each episode.

At the moment I am watching Northern Exposure. Lots of it. I just started season 4.

It is probably better from DVD. But to have greek subtitles all of a sudden is funny too. Found the whole series in 'a series of tubes.'

Yes you can.

Hasa :
The DVDs seem to include a fair amount of bonuses.
I haven't had the time to watch them yet.

do it, i really only found myself lost for the last bit. pretty short movie, not in a way that makes you feel ripped off though.

you won't have to pick your way through it with a nit comb or anything.

watch it soon i reckon. better ideas than i've met in a while.

yeah and it knew when to stop, which is always important.

and the main guy was a handsome geek. lovely nose.
