In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007)

Fantasy. Gack is this bad.

Filming is OK. Props are OK. Krugs are really cheezy.

I thought there was hope for Stratham after watching The Bank Job (2008). He's got to manage his career better. I've always had a thing for Forlani. Perlman needs to get better roles too. Sobieski was mis-cast. She is not the warrior mage.

We watched the first 4 episodes of Season 2 of Dr Who, and enjoyed them a lot. Then we watched 'Blink' from Season 3, which was also great. It's not great writing (except in that instance), but it's just enjoyable TV that works.

On 'In The Name of the King', Jacque, my favourite line in relation to this movie on IMDB was 'Lord of the Rings for Nickelback fans'. Wink

I'll still see it, though, having a similar Forlani-crush, liking Statham and having played Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 and the expansion packs...

What's it about? Is Robert Carlyle replacing Tennant?

That Donna chick didn't work at all for me.

Watched this weekend's UFC pay per view. Some good fights. Rampage vs. Griffin fight was really good. Looking forward to the rematch on that one.

Also nearing the end of the first season of The Wire and that shit is good.

Just start catching up on Angel. At least David Greenwalt stuck with that one. Wink I found it amusing that early in the process they had named the character Mick Angel... would have been too close to the existing Vampire-does-good show...

Just watched The Orphanage last night at the recommendation of friends. I thought it looked great, but thought it was a little hokey overall. I feel like I'm seeing a lot of movies lately with people in masks and it's starting to get old.

"Secret Diary of a Call Girl" (2007) S01E01

Soft Pr0n. Meh. I kinda like her doing the narrative part. However, I think the merry-go-round of John's is boring.

Well filmed.

Its hard not to think "Rose"!

"The Sarah Jane Adventures" (2007) S01E00 "Invasion of the Bane"

Skiffy. Doctor Who spin-off toned down and aimed at 'The Family'. What a waste. A bit too sweet for me.

"Bubble Shock" reminds me of Irn-Bru.

I had to check this out after the season finale of Doctor Who. When Sarah Jane showed-up, I didn't have the back story straight, the way I had Torchwood.

Sladen is OK. I'm not big on child actors. The Luke (Knight) and Maria (Paige) characters are barely tolerable.

Sleepwalking - Pretty good film, but thoroughly depressing. Involves an adult brother and sister who were abused as children and still reeling from it and the sister's daughter who is now 12 and not having a great life either as a consequence.
Sex and Death 101 - Not very inspired comedy. Not exactly sure when I added it to my queue, but I mostly regret it now.

its pretty different from the book its based on. which is more anecdotes and lists, rather than plot based.

I think there lies the problem. I'm having a problem finding a plot there. Maybe I'll give it another eppy or two and see if it gets better.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

Musical. I don't like musicals on TV or the big screen. However, this was OK. I think it was Depp and Bonham Carter together that kept my interest.

Filming was fine. Excellent qualitiy fake blood.

I wish Bonham Carter made more movies. I think she's wonderful. Depp I can take or leave.
