Rewatched The Big Lebowski and it's still a work of genius. Not a weak moment in it. Also I think it's my favorite John Goodman role.

I also watched Season 2 of The IT Crowd and was entertained. I love the goth guy, Richmond. He adds a certain surreal silliness that I adore.

i've got no time for haneke

He's about the only director I'd be sorely tempted to physically assault upon meeting in person.

Nah, he's not trying to insult his audience. It's just that he has no actual skill.

OTOH, I think Haneke actually has skill as a director, but goes out of his way to stick the knife in the viewer and twist it just to show he can.

I can never decide if my favourite line is "Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback," or "Did you ever hear of the Seattle Seven? That was me" - pause - "and six other guys."

Mad Max on teh television.

5 minutes in I remember that this one sucks... that it's Road Warrior that's the good one.

This is a crappy movie.

The newest "Transformers".

Okay, so this is probably not right.

But I saw this movie and glanced at the audience in the theater at key moments.

There were a lot of dating couples.

And during the Shia temptation scene with a girl other than Megan Fox, I noticed guys who's line of sight did not acknowledge anything other than what was happening on screen, and the girls next to them watching NOT THE MOVIE, but the guys reaction to what was happening on the screen.

This can't be by accident. Word has gotten out.

No good can come from this.

And it is now no logo tee-shirt time.

I actually want to wait until I get my new glasses before seeing Transformers: I hadn't realised until recently just how bad my old ones are getting (well, technically, how bad my eyes are getting which my old ones don't correct for), and even think poor vision might have contributed to my challenges in keeping up with the action in the first. Plus, you know, Megan Fox on a motorbike...

There is a WGBer appearance? I got the new two disc version, with footage from Lebowski fest, but I haven't watched it yet.

I think my favorite quote is "Say what you will about National Socialism but at least it's an ethos." It's just genius.

I like that one. At least some of that one. It does move a little slow but I dig the Night Rider! Also a villain called Toecutter never fails in my book. I will conceed that The Road Warrior is better tho.

By the time of Road Warrior, you're talking the full-blown, Jew-blaming, Vatican I Mel Gibson.

Hang on, which one got bastardised to 'The Road Warrior' in the US? As I recall both the Toecutter and the Nightrider were in what we Aussies (who are, of course, definitive) call 'Mad Max 1'. Then there's 'Mad Max 2' and 'Beyond Thunderdome'.
