"I always thought religion was really just a crazy art movement anyway. Isn't the extreme contrast between literalist and non-literalist interpreter just a matter of understanding how suspension of disbelief operates in the literature, art & architecture?"
theEtruscan Yeah, and might include the POLITICS of every day's life decisions. From small to large decisions. These reverberate, I suspect, and I hope will foment radical change. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Anabel, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nurturing my inner clown. |

Which is exactly why I liked it. But, you're right: I should have linked it to the original. You want me to delete it?

Jesus, don't you know that you never mash potatoes in a food processor. The beating turns 'em to glue.
Best way's by hand, or if you must have it lump-free, with a potato ricer. The Lithos School of Curiousity is now enrolling |

Charma quote, on foodstuff:
Picture of charmakarmacat Posted 06-14-2004 1:22 PM i have officially chosen to actively dislike bagels. something with so little taste shouldn't be so damned dense. Such passion in dining. Makes my server-heart soar. In case anyone ever wonders why I am logged onto the board and don't talk, it is because I am so wandering around here, laughing my way through references, tangling myself up in different times of comment. And DIGGING IT. (Aisha, this is the short explanation.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nurturing my inner clown. |

Bagels are not supposed to be "dense" - they are supposed to be moist with a semi-dense outer coating.
As far as taste, they are supposed to be EATEN with something, like most bread-like products. Or are your referring to packaged bagels or the kind you get in most coffee shops in the Americas? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Crash, Was der hahn ?!?!? |

Heh, I was sooo tempted to waste half an hour taking an image of a potato and adding spoilers, TypeR stickers, underlighting and so on, for the 'potato ricer' joke... but then I just got tired. Imagine it, OK?

I was away when the cat posted that.
I'm glad someone else in the world feels the same way about bagels. Dense is the exact right description. And no, cream cheese and lox doesn't help. Bagel crisps are ok, though. With cream cheese and lox All you can say is WHAT happened. You do not know why. You will never know why. |
