We were down for a few hours earlier today, for which I apologize. BB domain had expired and had to be renewed. You'd think Groupee might have warned me...

We all know what that means:

4 years on the WGB!

BTW Tiger, don't expect Authors on the Web or Blogger to let you know when the williamgibsonbooks.com domain expires. Smile

In any case, thanks for the explanation.

unless you registered the domain specificly through the services of grouppee there's no reason why they'd notify you (or even know) of this.

i'm glad it was fixed before anybody else could snatch up the domain.

oh good. that means I'm not crazy. I wasn't sure that that actually happened. I thought it strange that it said the domain name expired on December 5th.

I tried to find the WGB last night and sawr the 'no such address, but under construction' sign. I'd've totally freaked out, but I just chalked it up to my newish computer and my lack of skillz.

Thankfully it didn't last the '48 hours for service to return'.

It's going to be a while the the updated DNS info to trickle out to everyone's ISPs. I still see the networksolutions page from home, but am (obviously) able to post this from work. The domain expired. It's been FOUR YEARS!

Some Oz ISPs have updated, some haven't. Right now I'm accessing thru my old dial-up account. Neither the broadband services at work or home are getting past the Net Services "Under Construction" screen.

Freaky.
