I seem to be having troubles with the search function (so what else is new, eh?)...

Here's a try at searching for all of my posts in threads with the word "pointless" in their subject:

And here's the same search for threads with the word "the" in their subjects:

Which is actually weirder cause it's not just returning no results, it's returning wrong results. And then when I go to refine search to confirm that it had the parameters I thought it did, they have changed to searching for nothing in subjects and messages, posted by me. So I assume that's just bringing up all my posts.

The "the" search is because the search engine ignores certain common words, so in fact you are searching with a blank field.

The pointless is because although "subject" is a valid search target, we lost the subject field in posts with the change to Groupee, so I assume no posts now have subject, ergo no returns.

I find the inability to target threads (topics according to the search engine) a big problem.

I would recommend searching within a time frame, and then a brute force approach. Unfortunately Pointless takes brute to new levels.

I was trying to find all the times I've posted in the poetry thread, and it's probably less than 10, all spread out over the entire duration of said thread, which is pretty long. No idea what the time frame would be, and no common word in each post I could search for...
