I think that's the best point - we all have our own subjective decision making processes.

If you don't want to read MetroD's posts, or my posts or anyone's posts, feel free to ignore them. Simple really.

Something strange is going on. See above.

Sometimes I'm getting automatically logged off immediately after making a post. Other times I continue to stay logged in even though I've requested to log off.

What a way to use Post 800.

Happy Holidays to all here. Good luck getting your Christmas shopping finished if you haven't already done so.

I've got the same problem. In fact, this page I'm posting from right now tells me I'm not logged in.

Weird.

I can post a reply but not log in; from anywhere. I can't even log out. If I try to reaccess my post for some editing, I can't. This is getting frustrating.

All day I've been replying without being logged in.

I've found that deleting the cookie for the site temporarily alleviates the problem.

Thanks, Fashion, as always.

I've forwarded these problems on to our programmer for a look-see.

Have a very Happy Holiday season, everyone.
I know we all want new WG blogs for Christmas, or at least as a New Year's gift. Stay tuned... there's always hope.

Tiger68 - I don't know if you've been following this discussion, but there's a lively debate here concerning the board's automatic replacement of certain words with "******".

Is it possible to disable this "feature" - please?

That would be most appreciated by almost everybody around here.
After all, nobody has posted any 'PRO-fu*king-censorship' message.

I'd just like to add my voice to this one. We have a largely adult community on the board, and profanity is used sparingly and intentionally when it's used. The way the filter works seems quite inconsistent, and I know it's just a very simple thing in the board administration to just switch it off, so I'd like to request that that happens. As someone pointed out in the other thread, the filter on Gibson's Board munges Gibson's text!

This is kinda silly. A small demographic of the board can be seen on the How old is the typical WG fan? thread. The congragate is mainly adult, in age at least; we admitt we're still juvenile in personality.

Thus, it really hits a nerve with most of us. To be able to write fuck but not fuck1ng all of a sudden. An explanation would also go a long way too. We are not as uptight as this whole reaction might suggest.

I hope Tiger68 gets back from seasons vacation soon enough. The board is not the same without FP or Charmakarmacat or the rest of the gang...

Consider it disabled, due to popular demand.

It would be a good idea to increase the number 0 to 5 in the below code:

>meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0" URL=http://www.williamgibsonboard.com/groupee/forums<

Currently the refresh rate for people entering WGB via the URL www.williamgibsonboard.com is too fast resulting in a sort of circular refresh madness.

Yup, I noticed that many times
and I never regarder that as a discussion broad problem.
I should have.
It is most annoying : you have to find the time to click the link, between two refreshings. :/

Actually the problem with the above code is that their should be a semicolon after the zero rather than a quotation mark.

Like this:
>meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://www.williamgibsonboard.com/groupee/forums"<

for some reason, the display of the message board is all f**ked up - no images and bad fonts and aliginment, when I visit it on-line, but my email responses that I get are perfectly formatted.
Not an expert in the dark arts, but it looks like some sort of CSS problem?
Using latest version of Opera, on a XP Box, if that is any help

they have the internet on computers now?

Would this board's existing software support the addition of a "Post Preview" feature? As the wrld's scend worst typist, and also being a but dalyxeix, i I would fin it a welcome addition to the playtform. Believe meé.

No images load whatsoever. Not even avatars. The post reply button on the bottom of the page appears whenever which is better that the posts themselves that have no quotes or correct or anything showing.

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase.

I see blank spaces.

And no, it's not the cookies. I got them all deleted.
