I have had no problems the whole morning (11 p.m. to 4 a.m. server time). Maybe it is a local problem.

Honestly, this is getting frustrating.
Is it the stupid cookies? cause I erased them and it still does not work.

I am sorry about this, but for the past week I have been unable to load any pictures in my explorer. (Windows NT)

I erased the cookies, visit the WGB through the blog, first page I access with pictures has maybe one of them on top loading and no other subsequent down the page. One refresh button to hit and I lose not only that first picture but the avatars too. More refresh and the buttons dissapear too. I have to go about blindly searching with the mouse and see where the pointer changes to even post a quote reply.

But wait, there's more. Any subsequent link I follow from WGB is like infected by same bug and loads no pictures. Basically the explorer window gets infected by the WGB page and every sister window it opens has the same problem.

If those links I access by opening a different window from the start menu, then they have no problem.
It is not my computer either, as I thought, since same thing happens when I access WGB from different laptop, different phone line. My PC is a cable modem connection.

Please, any thoughts? I really can't understand this.

(Long Island NY for three more days.)

Hi Tiger68!

You might want to make the brand spanking new WG FAQ thread read-only or Gibson newbies might be lead to believe that Gibson fought the Pope in hand-to-hand combat and won.

Kudos to Tiger68 (et al., this smacks of conspiracy to me, but then again, everything does) for the new forum and FAQ. Well done.

You think that's a lie!? Blasphemy!

Nice FAQ though. I wonder if it will help any. Wink

Very nice, tiger68. I particularly like your droll inclusion of wg's answer to the "Will there be a sequel to Neuromancer?" question.

1. Is that script for Neuromancer really by you?

2. Is that script for Alien III really by you?

I believe one or both of those questions were the ones that made WG comment that he needed a FAQ in the first place.

By the way, I've also encountered that really strange behavior with WGB that striv mentions where images stop loading and won't load for any other page afterwards. Very bizzare.

Hi Tiger68,

I still have some of the login problems described by FP on the previous page.

I'm always being autologged in when i visit the site for example.

Hi Tiger,

A weird idea: is it possible to resurrest the first, say 10 or 20 posts of the board and put them up somewhere? You know, for like history's sake and stuff...

For about 1 or 2 weeks now, I always get a 'page not found' error whenever I open the WBG URL from my bookmarks. Pushing refresh brings up the main forum page but without style sheet -> plain Times font and no tables etc. Opening some forum page fixes the problem. Now I use Opera, but from what I heard on the board this happened/happens to other people as well (as can be seen in this thread). Any insights would be kindly appreciated.
