They shot Coldplay with lasers? Anarcho will be glad to hear it, but I don't think they deserved that.

Rather than lasers, I'd recommend shooting Coldplay with rabid wombats carrying box cutters and needlenosed pliers.

I dunno AC, that scheme of yours sounds overly-
complex and doomed to fail.

All right, then. We'll just have to settle for flamethrowers.

I went to the discussion, it was great. ALthough it should be noted that spider robinson is an irritating (if funny) old hippy iwht a tendancy to interupt other authors mid comments.

and I got to shake WG's hand. Hero worship is a terrible thing.

On an interesting note, he said it would likely be the last time he read from Pattern Recognition since he never goes back and reads form an old book once a new one has been published.

Welcome to the board - and DAMN YOU! Razz - many here will be green w/ envy, myself included.

That teaser is an especially nice tweak - we actually have a pool going to guess the release date of the next novel - here.

Hope you will enjoy your time here.

You.

its a very small world after all.

I would never want to RUB it in, that's what preassure blasters are for.

And thank you for your welcome, although i've been a compulsive lurker on the board for well over a year now. Even posted about twice before it switched to groupee.

Were you "Schrodinger's Cat" before? I thought I'd seen that as a screen name, though it could have been anyone, ultimately.

It was Schrodingerschat. more or less the same handle, but this time i added and underscore and some punctuation for legibility. I've always had a soft spot for the cat though.

Did anyone think to save this picture to hard drive? (The picture was of our gracious host using a public telephone.) It's gone from its site of origin.

Gibson speaking in New York.

Rumor that He'll be talking on a panel, giving a reading, etc. sometime in February '06 in Manhattan. Anybody know about this?

Also, does anybody know how to get a copy of "Memory Palace?" The source of those beautiful lines at the very end of No Maps: "Bells of clocktowers stitch the sleeper's dreams together ..." I know he himself doesn't have a copy, but somebody must.

Hey! That ram is peeing. The ram is not yawning, not dancing, bursting in to flame and the like, just cutting a widdle. I dunno Psy Guy...I dunno. [shakes head with a small twist of grin] [small].

Well, other girl likes it.

It is more a show of how comfortable the ram feels, rather than a show of disrespect. Although it may be a sharp judgment on the quality of my posts.
