As a Barcelona native and resident it's always a pleasure to see Mr Gibson reference Barcelona in his works. I just had a laugh, though, with a typo: page 219, British edition: Odile refers to 'Mercat des Flores', which should actually be 'Mercat de les Flors'. Silly mistake, I know, but I found it funny...

Knowing that 'Roig' in catalan is pronounced as 'Rotch' for an English speaker (same page) was quite something, though.

"Damn," he said. "This's worse than science fiction---"
"Because it's real," I said. "Hard to explain, harder to understand."

The french always know what is true. No matter what!

I say that with a great deal of affection ...

Well it cout be "not-a-typo", but then "Mercat" would be in Catalan, "des" in French and "Flores" in Spanish. Harder than Bladerunner's interlingua!
