Or in Europe, at least. I'm afraid, that the delivery from US will cost a lot, if it is possible at all.

I don't know about other European countries, but www.amazon.co.uk has the British release date for Spook Country listed as August 2, 2007.

Arrgghhhhh.... I just noticed something shocking! The one I pre-order does not arrive before the 7th of August!
Is it worth to order a US version? (I get fed up with waiting. Everybody here will start talking about it, before i even have received a copy ___________________________________________________________ "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." Alan Kay, 1971. |

Om Amazon.co.uk the US version is the 7th August version, the UK version is the 2nd August release, as Hasa said.
What is the German title of Spook Country? I can't see anything that could be Spook Country on amazon.de? |

Standard translation time is six months to one year after the original publication.
It takes some time and a lot of love to do it. Names. Numbers. Held as though they might be a map, a map back out of the underground. |

So far there is nothing announced. Doesn't matter. I'm not going to buy a translated version.

I will tell you the moment it is announced. "Pattern Recognition" was called "Mustererkennung", which is pretty much a one to one translation. Sometimes, Gibson Books have very odd German titles. "Burning Chrome" was called "Cyberspace" and "Count Zero" was labeled "Biochips". I have no clue why. ___________________________________________________________ "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." Alan Kay, 1971. |

The one who came up with those had no clue, either.
