The copy-edited manuscript of Spook Country has seen my red pencil (festive!) and is now with Penguin, who are figuring out what they think a book called that might look like, so all that book thing is tracking nicely, thank you.

According to Google Image search (too "Cartoon Network IMO)

I don't know.. I just came up with the topic I figure my fellow WGBers have much better eyes than me.

From the snippets I have read I got the feeling of crowds and anonymity.

I think SC's right. MOM's got it in one.

He got tired of his old sig, and changed it.

If only the guy at the end of the hall was sacrificing a chicken or something, it would be even better.

Thank you, gents. That was taken along the concourse outside the old Paine-Webber Gallery, in Manhattan, December 30 2005. The people in the picture were actually smoking tobacco, and at least one (if not two) were on a shoe-phone. If I remember correctly, two of the three are hurtstotouchfire and digitalprimate.

Pictures like that one are why I'm so stoked about going back there.

Just a bit of constructive design crit-
drop the "by", it's not necessary, tighten up the kerning on the font, apply a bit of typo-positioning/logoization and it will look pro.

"It may be said with rough accuracy that there are three stages in the life of a strong people. First, it is a small power, and fights small powers. Then it is a great power, and fights great powers. Then it is a great power, and fights small powers, but pretends that they are great powers, in order to rekindle the ashes of its ancient emotion and vanity. After that, the next step is to become a small power itself."
