How about post-Katrina New Orleans? This country's most active necropolis. Her cemetaries were already referred to as "Cities of the Dead", and her nickname "The City That Care Forgot" grew to "...and the President left for dead". Perfect place for spooks to live...the entire city exists as a sort of Cyber Aneurizm.

Maybe TOOL provides some of his irony.

Detroit gets my vote as Necropolisville USA. I think that WG had some rather insightful comment about Detroit in the NMFTT dvd. Something about just letting the city die on it's own.
