Has anyone listened to the audiobook? I'm experimenting...listening to the audiobook before reading the book.
The BBC's radioplay of Neuromancer was pretty kewl, wasn't it?
(I don't have time to look thru this board for other comments on the WG audiobooks; will someone correct me if I've posted this in the wrong place? Thanks.)

Haven't heard the BBC version.
However, I have listened to:
_Virtual Light_ read by Peter Weller
_Neuromancer_ 10th Anniversary Edition read by William Gibson
_Idoru_ read by Jay O. Sanders
_Pattern Recognition_ read by Shelley Frasier

All excellent. The only possible mistake that I heard was 'angles on pin heads' instead of 'angels' but that may be the way it is printed or some other literary device not yet revealed to me.
Have fun. SF makes the story come alive.

There is one other omission that someone pointed out previously (use the find tool after you listen to the book) concerning blood on my blade.

I realy want to check out PR on audio, but I worry that it will translate bad. I suppose this would be due to the only translation into another form of media I have seen . . Johnny Mnemonic. It might translate ok, but is it realy worth taking the chance on spoiling the PR world that I have created for myself???

You absolutely will not be disappointed with Shelley Frasier's reading (you will love it)(unless of course, you are comparing it to the WGB reading, so don't compare). I'll even guarantee that.(You will love it).

(There is no other choice but to love it.)

I recently went on a long road trip and the audio version is awesome. She does a good job changing her voice enough so the characters are recognizeable from one another.

I think Shelly Frazier sounds a little like Nicole Jaffe. No offense intended. I love Velma's voice.

WG's reading of Neuromancer surpasses all- I wish he would read more of his books.
