Just on a whim, to listen again to certain voices, I checked the PR collaborative audiobook . And it is sad how many files are missing, with the audblogs the most painful.

I was wondering if it would be possible to get them back up. I am sure some people smarter than me kept copies of all the files.

Names. Numbers. Held as though they might be a map, a map back out of the underground.

Deafening response to that one, then. I'm afraid I don't have any of the project at all. It is likely to be very big, in total, as well as potentially in violation of copyright, so no-one's going to be keen to host it, unless they're in China, for example.

I think I might have them tucked away somewhere - I know I burned a CD at one point for an audio challenged member.

I will look later when I'm at home.

I still like the Gringo mix the best!

I made a copy of the whole thing too. If FP can't find hers, maybe I can give ArkanGL the files for temp hosting.

i'm pretty sure i have it on MD somewhere, though FPs CD sounds the best source.

i'd think one of the free podcast systems might be a suitable host, depending on size of the total file. i have an account that seemed to have potential.

I just realized I haven't copied it to my new computer, and I'm to lazy to go through my CD's right now as I'm trying to work an extra 20 hours this week to get rid of my deficit in working hours that I built up this month. So if one of you guys could take care of it, it would be fantastic.

Only 4 more days until 4 weeks of vacation!!! (and boy do I have a ton of work to do until then)

Aargh! Don't talk to me about vacation. I'm on the project-that-just-won't-die, and-I-can't-stand-all-the-testing-and-tweaking. Vacation sounds really good.

I'm no help whatsoever on this project, though -- much fun as it was, I was never diligent about making copies.

I think I've got all of 'em, though it looks like a bunch of other people do to, with the exception of the one shockwave file of Duncan's. I'll check at home.

I hadn't realised the audblogs files had disappeared. I could have sworn they said they'd leave 'em up.

*thinks* Hmm, I might have 'em buried in some zip file here at work. Lemme check. Maybe I was even smart enough to dump them in my gmail account (doubtful).

Sentinel : just drop the files on my server.
I'll put them where people can get them.

'Tis done. Quicktime movie files:

1Fashionpolice
2sentinel400
3lightemittingdee
4wraith
5remotepush
6tigerstripes
7robw
2.1jose
2.2colin
2.3martin
2.4duncans
2.5marshdrifter
PR-Bruce&Victoria

are on ArkanGLs server. You will need to add the .mov suffix to them I guess, before you can open/convert them to mp3. It seems I only archived up until October 2003. So from Poppy West onwards, someone else will have to supply the rest. Colin?

Thanks, Sentinel and ArkanGL.

Well, it's almost complete again, then. My reading and the ones I host (FP's, Splitcoil's and José's) are still there and I'm not planning on removing them.

Justy's and PreDefined's readings seem to be still up, too.

So that means we're only missing Poppy West's and striv's readings, now. At the time, I only recorded little snippets for the 'remix', so I don't have full copies.

Mine are mp3s. I have everything except Duncan's second reading from Chapter 2 (going by this list) and the Bruce&Victoria one we already have. Lemme know if you need any of them.
