~~Did anyone else find it interesting that Martin is the only one so far who chose to pronounce "Cayce" the way Voytek does?~~

Didn't even notice that - it just sounded so natural.

–that mmmight be the result of him having slept on it...

... quite kind. I was alternating between anoxia and hyperventilating while reading that passage, trying not to gulp breaths in the middle of sentences. Who do I have to email to get it up on The Pattern Recognition Collaborative Audio Book Project ?

RobW is the man in charge. He will swoop down upon your url and put it where it needs to be, among its digital compadres.
As soon as he notices, that is.

So glad to hear a new voice! So glad to hear a new section, really...I was afraid the project had died a-wanting.

I hadn't considered the burning issue - - it would be nice to have a long listen; I'd like to add W.G.'s reading to it as well - I bought the audiotape of Neuromancer for my brother years back, and I sure wish I had it now.

(I did notice 'Casey', perhaps since I read some Edgar Cayce as a kid and the name(s) popped out at me when I read 'em. Didn't bother me, 'though.)

I'm tempted to do another paragraph, if only to elicit No fair! responses.

Raw, unedited ... (fresh from a reading of the halls of Denethor on the eve of war) -

2., page 10:

New Logo .. to ... buttons.

polyester forest

I've forgotten, meanwhile, how to transcribe .wav to .mp3 (MusicMatch isn't playing), so they're currently in shockwave. Plenty of static, a low-tech anti-piracy measure of my own devising (and shoddy engineering).

Just making sure that doesn't happen with this topic.

We still haven't finished Chapter 2. Any new readers out there?

Hey, I'd forgotten about this project (as have many, apparently). If I hadn't packed up my PR, I'd contribute. I certainly have the gear. Maybe next time I'm at the storage unit, I'll dig out PR and bring it home to do some recording.

Jeez - - took y'all long enough. (I'm not countin' my blessings too soon, am I?)

I should try to redo mine as well - the quality of those last two is puh-thetic.

I really want to try to find a quiet moment - there must be a quiet moment somewhere during Christmas - I really want to impose my interpretation of a British accent on all of you.

Still, the sound of your own voice is so ennerving - I always look around for my grandmother when the answering machine on my phone takes off ....

just back from a lovely trip to bulgaria...while reading pattern recognition in the frankfurt airport it dawned on me that soul delay really does seem like a valid explanation for jet lag!

anyway, i so enjoyed listening to all the lovely voices reading to me...i just had to add my own. the voice is soft, yes, but really that is how i always sound...

picking up where duncan s left off...
