Hmmm...most likely not. However, having just had the (mis)fortune of needing to pick-up a few items from one such store- a veritable mecca of mass neon consumerism and unashamed branding- I stumbled across a pair of shoes that were wholly unremarkable save for the fact that they had absolutley no branding or mark of an eminent creator anywhere visible to the eye.
Two styles. Both black. Utilitarian. Inexpensive. And both completely clean of labels or logos, even down to the sole, where one can usually expect to find if not just the size of the shoe, but the designers trademark as well. Nothing. The only indication that Cayce herself had not been there and removed all evidence of branding was the tiny label inside the shoe on the foam instep. The brand name was Phys.Sci, and further investigation through the clothing section of the store produced many incidences of unabashed logo placement on a great many other items in their product line. These shoes, then, appear to be something of a branding anomaly. I just might have to buy a pair. LB "Don't anticipate the outcome," the man said. "Await the unfolding of events. Remain in the moment." |
