Curious as to how a nodal person like Gibson is mainstreamed...
How did you find this site?

I chose option one, even though it's a little more complicated than that. I found it from a link posted on another message board whose main topic is the Subaru Impreza. Part push, part pull.

I found it through the Yes/No Interlude, and registered five minutes later.

What can I say -- I really enjoy Mr. Gibson's work.

Acting is for those who need to have people pay close attention to them.
I write, which means I have a large ego best viewed from a distance.

I would just like to say, ABOUT GOD DAMM TIME!!

I have scoured the web for a current "official" Gibson site for years. I even thought of taking up the cause myself. Who ever is in charge, it is much appreciated!! Keep up the good work.

.. not to be petty or anything, but ;

And as to the question, I recieved in a dream a telepathic message from WG himself that this place was coming into existance.

I read the review of "Pattern Recognition" in the newest edition of WIRED Magazine. Didn't even know he had one coming out so I went to the william gibson aleph webpage and saw the link to his Blog.

If your not outraged, you're not paying attention!

Googled for 'Pattern Recognition' after reading Rucker's review in WIRED 11.02

Aleph's site linked me to the official page.

Its about time the writers of the cpunk alumni have their own (official) sites.

I believe I found this site originally through a blog; however, I haven't been to the boards in over a month though I check the blog regularly.

This particular thread I found when googling for "hunting cool."

But it was very fortuituous - I was helping a friend clean out a house, a lot of newspaper was stacked to help with the packing. I grabbed an entertainment section because of a big cover article on Terry Gilliam's attempt to make Don Quixote and when I got it home, I saw the article on WG's blog. Which lead to this d-board and my rushing out to buy PR.

Martin, you'll have to excuse me, but your original topic is six pages long, so I'll stick with this new one. But it's good of you to post the link, so I can check out everybody else's story.

The only worry I have about Gibson's Weblog is that it may use up so much of his time that the interval to the next book is even longer than the last. However, it is SUCH a relief to know that I can get a fix of William Gibson pretty well daily.

After I read page three of Pattern Recognition I knew I would have to google Fetish:Footage:Forum, I was hoping someone would have posted some footage.

Way back in the 70's when cable tv was in it's toodlerhood I was living in El Paso TX. The cable station did not have 24 hour programing and ran films only several times a day. There was filler that ran before and after the films, what I remember was slow tracking shots of empty urban malls/parks The camera moving up stairs and slowly sweeping over sun-lit white concrete. That is what I imagined the Footage was like in the novel.

I was told about this site by a girl that I spent a night raving about William Gibson with in a pub.
Its funny to me that liking William Gibson's writing is some kind of friendship qualifier to me in a way that liking the same kind of music never could be.

I've always loved gibson, I own a copy of every novel, A was talking to my roomate about the board in Pattern Recognition and I said how it would be cool if gibson had a board because it would probably grow a community like the own in the novel. So he googled it and told me about it. And here it is.

Are you hitting on me?

Me too! Me too!
I know it's a work of fiction but I *so* wanted that footage to be out there....for that fictional world to exist.
