Bigend is a bit like the Cheshire Cat: a smile that gleams and shutters.

He looks too smart. I'm finding infinitely amusing Brown's lack of vocabulary. Like not knowing what "idiomatic" means.

Yeah, that'd work. I had a vague, indistict, younger Lenny Kravitz analogue placeholding for that role, though. And the Old Man was, when I first whipped him up, one of the wrinkled old cigar-colored lads from Buena Vista Social Club. Ibrahim Ferrer, like. Cuban by association, I guess. Only later did I start to sense he was maybe supposed to be a caucasian Yank. I ended up morphing him into a milder-featured John Neville. |

I think I might have heard Mr G describe Bigend at a previous reading, or perhaps he is described as being Tom Cruise-esque in PR. |

"a nominal Belgian who looks like Tom Cruise on a diet of virgins' blood and truffled chocolates."

I remember that now. I also remember that, at the time, only the teeth fit the impression made by Hubertus the personality. Or maybe it's just that Hasselhof really does look like "a nominal Belgian who looks like Tom Cruise on a diet of virgins' blood and truffled chocolates"... only much bigger. Space must flow past the ports like wine from a pitcher |

From very early on the idea of Inchmale looking like Arto Lindsay got into my head, and nothing can dislodge it. This leads to my idea of the Curfew sounding something like DNA. Don't know how you could use that to sell cars, though.

I can see Michael Sheen as Bigend. Terrific welsh actor, probably best known for playing Tony Blair in "The Queen".
