Howdi folks, Anyone heard anything new on the internets about that IDORU movie project yet? It should make for a good stand alone movie.

Yeah man, word was out a while ago. You can read it here
But nothing's been heard of again ever since. I kinda have more faith on this production than the whole Joseph Kahn thing.

David Bowie for the music or as one of the characters? Don't mind me some Bowie tracks at all, and I know he can act (he was good in The Prestige). But can't quite see what character he could play yet.

That Emily girl definitely looks the part, hope she's not too old by now though!

Anime? I suppose you could hope for a drawing that looks like Bowie.

Apparently, there was some discussion of turning this into a live-action movie but it was cost-prohibitive

Sounds like another "It's going ahead! Wait, no it isn't." moment to me.

Ah, the music master...Shulda seen that! Plus Bowie has that articulate British thing to boot, which'll will work for Anime or live action.

There hasn't been a real epic of an Anime movie that has had some big time impact like Akira or Ghost in the Shell in a while. It'll be awesome if a William Gibson adaptation will be the one to do it.

Live action or Anime, as long as WG's work is translated propa on the big screen...good times Cool

david bowie's small part in arthur and the invincibles proved that his charisma is strong enough to transcend the meat.

Corrrin San, have faith please. Who knows If this movie works out. Maybe it'll somehow halt the Joseph Kahn thing indefinitely, then we won't have to see Harry Potter as Case. No offense to Radcliffe, just too young I think.

He was in the invincibles?? I had no idea, what character was he? The man's been keeping busy after all. Guess he'll have no qualms with doing an animated movie then.

By the way, has anyone told you how beautiful your "eyes" are misty? Yes eyes... unless you wear an eye patch that is.

He'd have to wear a coloured contact lens to make his eyes the same colour, tho'.

I actually thought Bowie was OK in The Hunger. And, erm, Yellowbeard. Oh, and he was a good Warhol.
