If I remeber correctly, Wintermute uses the optic read out in Molly's eyes to give her directions and warn Molly when she is about to encounter Ashpool in Vila Stray Light.

molly's eyes... i agree with Hasa. the main purpose is that they look badass. she has a clock chipped in, tear-ducts re-routed... but i mean it could be that she had more stuff done, we just haven't heard. from what the Finn says about "new implants" in her head (the clock) i would assume that she had other things... maybe maps and shit like that.
in my mind, the glasses are two seperate lenses, one over each eye, somewhat oval in shape. not unlike (and don't kill me) the shape of Trinity's sunglasses in The Matrix. (sorry, Trin rocks.)
from Case's comment "she never showed me" (the color of her eyes) i assume there are organic eyes behind the mirrors, and also that somehow she can retract them.
extremely interesting thought, Rikki=Molly. Rikki is one of my favourite characters, as is Molly... interesting.
