Thanks for reminding me about that. I'm in the midst of reading the Difference Engine (only one chapter left), so I'll have a look when I'm finished.

Last chapter! The last chapter bites! Careful there! That last chapter is the reason I wish I could make a Difference Engine into a movie.

In the slang of my childhood, something "bites" if it is particularly bad... but I don't think that's what you meant...

I'm surprised she didn't define Blue Stocking. I only know what it means because of my new job.
