hey from south africa.

The coral in seychelles was 50% dead from bleaching caused by warming. I think el nino doesn't exist and its gw.

All in all the world's coral looks a lot worse than it did when I first snorkeled 20 years ago.
Australia had some nice soft coral, but the worlds oceans are screaming. Can we hear it?

Geezzz.... It's a good thing we are all not taking steps to make our homes more environmentally friendly.

quote:
......Since taking steps to make his home more environmentally-friendly last June, Gore devours an average of 17,768 kWh per month –1,638 kWh more energy per month than before the renovations – at a cost of $16,533. By comparison, the average American household consumes 11,040 kWh in an entire year, according to the Energy Information Administration.

I'd like to see Gorebot2000 live in a cave for a year, grow a beard and play the "Old Man on the Mountian" to the hilt.

I'm assuming that's from Beavis and Butthead. Haven't seen it.

Laughed out loud, at any rate.

Good call.

Beavis and Butthead were watching the video for "A shogun named marcus" and when the pig walks by, Bevis goes: "Woah!! I could see that pigs balls!!"

"That's no pig, Beavis..."

Warms the cockles.

My flatmate's got gigs worth of old Daria eps, if they count.

I like the idea of the main character, but the rest just gets a little tooo MTV for my liking.

How do you think he got it in the first place? Free will?

It's surprisingly subtle, and possibly a warning that teh MTV is not to be underestimated. At all.

Especially since they've convinced two halves of an entire generation to harm themselves. Personally, as being part of said generation, I say go for it!

Similarly in the UK - Sting Ray on British shores.

I saw a documentary last night that showed that Puffin numbers are crashing due to the change in sea temperatures around the UK. The birds are still coming to the UK and breeding but the sand eels that they rely on to feed their young are not so they are feeding their young pipe fish, which are so lacking in meat that the pufflings just starve to death.
