JCDecaux will provide all of the bikes (at a cost of about $1,300 apiece)

What are they making these bikes out of? I can understand them being more expensive as they have to be sturdier, but 10 times more than a regular bike?

In Norway it is ClearChannel who also do those huge posters all over town, just like JCDecaux (also here):

I must admit, I love the way that global warming was a fairy tale told by smelly, bong smoking hippies and those terrorists Greenpeace until, was it a company or the british government, came out with this report which basically restated what they've been putting out every year in press releases for the last decade or two.

Giggles.

Ah, Sydney. Australia's only bastion of culture, enlightenment and economic sanctuary against the hordes of mulleted country bogans and hicks that populate everywhere but Canberra (but canberra isn't quite as wonderful as Sydney, of course). Where every woman can be a complete bitch and howl sexism or "I'm empowered!" when you respond, and every man is an emasculated metrosexual tossbag (Thanks, Mark Latham!). Triple mocha low fat no-foam caffiene free soy Latte, anyone?

I don't like Sydney. So what. Next one to ask me for directions to a classy bed and breakfast is getting a slap upside the head.

Mark Latham can't be that much of a metro. He did punch a guy...

Granted, Kevin Rudd's not as manly, but his son's all right.

Lindzen is an oil-industry-funded tool (in several senses of the word)

And I love Sydney, although Bully has hit on some of the worse elements of what parts of it have become. Plus I can't afford to live there, so I'm loving Brisbane. I think I'll probably end up even further north eventually.

At least they have a cover story for being an ass. What's your excuse? Oh, right, men have no reason-- they can be assholes whenever they want and everyone has to take it. (See Imus, Don).

And here I was hoping your handle was ironic.

I suppose another civilised aussie was too much to ask?

At least with Misty, Bravus and yes, even Lithos, we know they're not stereotypically alike.

And RobWuh and Gromit (although me and those two could be considered stereotypically alike in some ways I guess)

I've enjoyed the Aussie input since I've been around here. But I think Justy has the right handle on someone calling himself Bully.

No, he tackled a cabbie and broke his arm. And he was the one complaining about metrosexuals.

See, if you'd stopped there I'd wouldn't have realised you were being ironic.

Boom tish.

Okay, Kevin Rudd is just a puppet. I meant it was a Latham quote.

Sorry. I'm just an arsehole to start with. I make no bones about that. But sorry, kids, I still have the bruise from last time I was there because I decided in a pub to tell the woman who was abusing me with feminist jargon for not moving from "her seat" (she'd just walked in) to piss off, and her friends too. If you want to be an arsehole, fine, but don't call them a sexist or say that they're afraid of empowered women. And sorry, my handle is just my last name with a y. From back in highschool.

Your response surprised me... it was civil. Well, at any rate, I dislike using feminism as an excuse for bad behavior at any rate (from whichever angle), so, whatever. Glad to know the context.
