60 years - shome mishtake shurely? What about the book of Ezekiel?

Some house guest left this behind at my parent's place so I read it as a kid. I liked the way the title implied the actual existence of flying saucers was an issue already resolved.

Did anyone watch the UFO files on The History Channel yesterday? They had a marathon on.

Interesting enough, most reported "UFOs" are just not viable from the point of view of aerodynamics (so, not suitable to "cruise the skies") and don't have an interesting layout for "space travels".

I wonder at the habit of THC, Discovery, NatGeo and other "Science Channels" to present stories that couldn't build a theory as proven facts. That applies not only to UFOs but also to religion and other fields of knowledge.

Sorry... false cognate...

The use
The custom

But it could be also written as:

The routine (since they do that time after time)

Just concluding: presenting "empirical" info as proven info is problematic.

I remember an episode of Mythbusters when they "proved" that cell phones couldn't cause fires in gas stations.

Well, here is a shocking dismiss of their "proof": Shell gas station explosion caused by the use of a cell phone as light source to evaluate the level of fuel in the tank.

The guy died 3 days later.

I remember this incident.

UFO's are a part of History and the psyche of America, they are legit subjects for programs on those channels IMO.

Did he drop it into the truck? I can't remember if I saw the Mythbusters epi, I think I did though. If I recall they were performing the experiment from the point of view of a patron pumping their own gas.

Yeah, it was someone pumping their gas. they rigged the phone to do a bunch of things but none of them set the gas on fire. I think they had their ballistic box filled with gas or some such.

The Learning Channel used to be the worst, they used to air tons of ghost/UFOs shows.
What a load of anti scientific crap!
Now please excuse me, have to go back to read Lovecraft...

Ufology is a factual ideology and it seems to have many American's in its grip. They never say that any of what they are talking about is real. They simply put it up there and usually they have many critics debunking it in the shows as well.

Is your arbument that they shouldn't air anything like this to begin with?

They built the whole History Channel and the Discovery Channels subsidiaries on UFO shit.

They should a channel for that kind of programming. The UFO channel or such.
Previous post meant to be partially humorous...
