booger : i think that one's a bit to close to the bone to be that funny.

i reckon that the worms are just biding their time ready to take over when we've lost it. there's millions of species in the deep sea (i once read that in new scientist) humans and our pets are riddled with them, and there are massive piles of compostable materials just lying around. anyone seen lair of the white worm? exactly. it's just around the corner.

aarrghhh!

Mars is inhabited by intelligent marsupial hominoids.

They're deliberately messing with our space
programs. There's been a lot of conspiracy
theories about how we fake our space missions.
That's not the case, we think our space missions
are successful, but they're spoofing them on us.
Spirit and Opportunity are really in holographic
boxes.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels this way. I'm a big reader of the source material, but the book sure felt like it was cobbled together simply to turn into a bad screenplay. I've been calling it "Focault's Pendulum for Dummies."

Iceland announces the purchase of 200 new-old-stock Silkworm antishipping missiles.

Chip-shop workers throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland unite and surprise the dining public with a well-funded, strategically clever work-to-rule campaign. Its motive is unclear.

Jamaican Agriculture Minister Roger Clarke spearheads a crash campaign to diversify the country's staple diet of salt fish and ackee.

Argentina temporarily delays all beef exports to northern Europe, citing "tariffication issues."

Coincidence?

People who bike-commute are pinko commies. When the oil runs out, they'll take over the world and force children to read Noam Chomsky's "Manufacturing Consent," Howard Zinn's "People's History of the United States," and Lance Armstrong's two memoirs in elementary school.

But what will they lube their chains with?

Of course, we've all overlooked the most obvious and verifiable theory: that spam represents the first attempts at communication from an advanced civilization tyring to "speak our language."

Think about it.

With our universal obsession with sex, it would explain all those penis enlargment emails....

"Well, Subcommander Oxfrzzniddle, these humans think about little besides their own gonads for much of their day, let's see if we can't get their attention that way..."

"Good thinking, Frtttt. After our disastrous anal-probe campaign, we really need a new avenue of approach."

Brilliant.

"Movies" are actually the "idealistic propaganda" of their creators.

Oh. Wait.

Of course, that should be Noam Chomsky and Ed Herman's "Manufacturing Consent". A real anarchocyclist would have know that.

NNNNNNAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRC!

Hey, that's weird. You can't spell "anarcho" without "narc". Oh, wow, man I'm freaking out...

Our consumer based society is the most audacious method to control, distract and ultimately subjugate the populace in order to prevent autonomy.

I heard this one. Its really unbelievable but someone actually swore to me the following:

Humans are intelligent creatures fully capable of making informed, rational decisions.

I know, I laughed at it too.
