Two new uses for Google:

Innovative, We used to use helicopters to find drained ones to skate.

You need Google to tell you that?

"Shave his ass and teach him to walk backwards?"

Took Google Earth to tell me that there was a swimming pool in the block of flats next to my old place. A mate of mine used to swim in it uninvited all the time.

Palestine tunnellers - kids - use it to find clear routes for tunnels to get past the Israeli blockades.

I'm not supposed to but, if you ask me, I've always possessed an affinity for the architecture of Veldon Simpson. The nature of his clientele (Las Vegas casinos) means he's always first concerned with image (next: capacity). Naturally, this takes him to places tectonically few others ever go. More often than not, the result is indulgent. Yet once in a blue moon, his unconventional methodology yields surprising and enduring innovation. As at the black pyramid of Luxor casino -- once you can see past the faux sandstone cladding.

Apart from my modest admiration of him, he's an international architect. He's enclosed literally millions upon millions of square feet.

And, the reason I'm writing this post, I found out today THIS IS HIS WEBSITE!!

Whoa. . .

Cement Rain makes skylight for lucky Russian homeowner

"On June 12th, the Russian Air Force sent up 12 planes carrying silver iodide, liquid nitrogen and cement powder to seed clouds above Moscow and empty the skies of moisture."

You can imagine the rest.

Be careful which grandmother you insult. It might be a pistol-packing one that'll circumcise you with her .38

Ouch!

U.S. School District to start Microchipping Students

A Rhode Island school district has announced a pilot program to monitor student movements by means of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips implanted in their schoolbags.

And so it begins.

This reminds me of the new buildings in Idoru, but it's not nanotech. And I'm sure it won't be quite so creepy.
