Feeling like a 'Rugged Individualist' yet? Of course, that conception of the American self was built in opposition to European identities. Compared to Australians, we might be 'Pansified Communitarians.'

And yet, we often make wickedly funny comedies about the same thing. To be fair, the women in "Arsenic and Old Lace" were doing it out of what they thought was mercy.

In other news (and on the common theme of depravity), I bring you the definition of irony.

Well, as I was raised by X-tians, the serpent struck a metaphoric chord with the creation/banishment myth.

But seriously, can anyone who bears such a striking resemblance to Darth Sidious really be all that good?

It's like the new Pope is the Bush II of the Catholic church. I think they gonna be so sorry they let him take the stage.

What kind of Xtian was you raised, Booger? (I was a Chicago Mormon by way of a Southern Baptist Mom converted with all her family when she was a kid.)

I didn't know Geddy Lee was a snake-handler! Objectivist snake-handling.

Gibson would be pleased.

It's not Congressional subpoenas that worry Rove so much as those nagging invitations to go quail-hunting w/ Cheney, that give him the willies.
