I'd fucking donate on the one condition that the tomb contains many flying spears that shoot from the walls and a rickety old bridge made of wood and crappy rope.

Yeah, that was a good one, too. Funny how that stuff lives in the memory. I still clearly remember the covers of the 1E books. I can picture certain pages, with their grease or soda stains. I remember which of my dice came with the Basic set or the Expert set. Very influential stuff in the life of a gimp kid.

Me too. I was trying to think if they were perhaps still somewhere at my mum's house or in storage, but I expect they got thrown away when my mum moved. There is a box in her garage with some of the early dungeons, a lot of early White Dwarf magazines and The World of Greyhawk.

Geekdad did a series of posts on Top 10 D&D modules I found in storage this weekend in December.
