I fail to see how there is any separation of church and state if the state allows any church within it's borders. That's not separation, it's co-operation.
And to allow members of the church to be elected to public office and to use the position to further a religious agenda in this manner is outright disgusting. As far as I'm concerned, I prefer silent vice to ostentatious virtue. -Albert Einstein |

No, those have clearly proven ineffectual. Tyranny is the only way out, people must be enslaved, made to labour on pyramids rather than pyramid schemes and purposed toward exiling and ostracizing the stupid, whipping the worshipers of the Sky Gods and executing the jingoistic. Bush isn't bad because he acts like an Emperor, he's bad because he act like an idiot emperor. Democracy is failing in nearly every meaningful way in this country. Half the population is not intelligent enough to be making choices, they need to be working on building pyramids. Big, bright, shinning pyramids. --- "I knew their tastes were very different and because the french like Dick a lot." -W.G. |

Ok, I am not all that well versed on the dynamics at play in Georgia right now, but it seems to me like shits gone real bad, and what with the Poland situation, they seem to be getting a taste of the Cuban missle sitch, only in reverse.
That bear is getting pissed and someone is going to pay. More, anyway. As far as I'm concerned, I prefer silent vice to ostentatious virtue. -Albert Einstein |

664 M-16s? It seems plausible that may have been lost or left behind by the US over the years. I wonder if all the parts match and what models they are. The sniper rifles seem like something that'd be harder to get hold of.
It could be a Russian plant, I guess. Seems like something they'd do. It's a few notches below wetworking Litvinenko in the grand scheme of things. Still, I guess the effects the same - the US may have to back down, even if no one really believes the weapons were delivered by Uncle Sam himself. It's a great weigh to back up the claims that the US is really out to get Russia, along with the missile defence in Poland. I earnestly hope that it's not the CIA selling guns. It would be ironic indeed if it kicked off between the two after "peace" had been declared for 19-odd years. The Lithos School of Curiousity is now enrolling |

and the hypocrisy of our fiddling while Georgia burned while claiming to be helping Iraq and Afghanistan acheive democracy is not lost on me.

We have/had trainers over there, so having US weapons is not really surprising. And it's hard to compare to Cuba as the system we would be deploying would be defensive in nature (to shoot down missiles) unlike the Cuban missiles whose function would be to wipe out cities. |

UK Sucks Too News:
Pratchett Slams U.K Government Over Limited Drug 18 August 2008 12:52 AM, PDT Beloved British author Terry Pratchett has criticised a decision by the U.K. government to limit the use of a drug which helps the later stages of Alzheimer's disease. The writer, 59, - who announced he was suffering from a rare form of the disease last year - slammed ministers for reducing the use of the drug Aricept. Pratchett says, "I feel particularly angry on behalf of early onset patients because it feels like an insult and the younger you are the more insulting it is. "A lot of people with early onset have got dependents both younger and older and they're trying to hold down a job. "It is a really nasty disease and I cannot imagine cancer patients being denied a drug like this in similar circumstances." --- "I knew their tastes were very different and because the french like Dick a lot." -W.G. |

From Legos. White Legos. With connectors that don't click. Two weeks in the woods in a section of the Colville Forest that has No Services Camping with roughly zero ranger policing. I saw stupid. Glock! |
