Question. Are McCain mumps normal? I mean, he suffered surgery to extract skin cancer...
---------- Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ??? |

There is indeed an abundance of scar tissue build up in his facial area. Looks like he's had some good medical attention, though, because it could've been much worse.

"Mr. McCain, with your comprehensive grasp of both economics and technology, I'd like you to offer an unscripted and honest assessment of THIS!!!!!!"

Wow.
Noticed this paragraph:
Say "Hi" to Wintermute, everyone! »» "Forget infinity. I've got books waiting for me to read them." — colin »»"Speculative novels of last Tuesday." — William Gibson |

Is Bravus still broken? Can someone order some parts or something? Get Bravus up and running again?
I'm serious in a way. We here in the States, we CAN vote and will. But we're not immune from feeling bereft of power ourselves. Boog, case in point. Thing is, he might be right. Boog might be perfectly correct in his cynicism. It's infectious. It makes sense. It's historically accurate. Maybe. We're. Fucked. But right now, a week after the end of the GOP convention, Obama and McCain are even. Tied. The composite of national polls show perhaps a 1 point McCain lead, but that contains major polls that have oversampled registered Republicans. Fact: polling organizations make more money off tied races. Fact: 75% of contracts with polling organizations are with GOP-connected entities. Tied. My favorite poll, which publishes ALL it's methodology and crosstabs (no other polls do) has Obama ahead nationally by a point. Those are the national polls. Tied. State polls in critical battleground states (that will decide the election) show Obama with a signifigant 4 to 5 point lead. If the election were held today (barring election fraud), Obama would smash McCain in electoral votes. That could slip, but won't if we get the kids. New voters. You'll note Obama's latest ads attack McCain for not knowing how to use a computer. Obama's internal polling tells him the kids are important this time. International opinion MATTERS with kids. Kids don't like living in an uncool country. Kids are difficult to poll but usually don't make a lot of difference because they're notorious for skipping election day. This thing could easily boil down to a few extra percent of those kids voting in November. The USA can fix itself (Australia did!). Somebody fix teh Bravus. Sarah Palin broke teh Bravus |

After Ike hits Texas, we ought to rescind all their votes as they're technically no longer living there since they evacuated the cities in his way.

And another thing:
Obama needs to swiftboat these assholes but has too much class to allow that to happen. He's trying to play a clean game while they practice dirty pool. If he's going to pander to the xtians, he might as well go whole hog and release the slamhounds. As far as I'm concerned, I prefer silent vice to ostentatious virtue. -Albert Einstein |

See, it's all in the script. The lighting knobs have been twiddled to specification. They need to break teh Bravus so he can resurrect in heroic Gibsonian glory. |
