Actually, all the armed forces are under the President's control. The "such other duties" clause has more to do with the roles and missions fight than anything else.

Really, I don't think Americans want a king so much as they want a messiah. Americans don't necessary want to be told what to do, they just want someone who knows all the answers and makes them believe it. Charisma gets American politicians much farther than authority does.

I haven't declared allegiance to either party, so I am not invited to the primaries.

Obama will win my state, though.

Huckabee wins in West Virginia, with Romney second and McCain at 1% of the vote! Apparently, most of McCain's people, knowing that he'd come in third anyway, threw their support behind Huckabee to keep Romney from winning.
W.Va is a low-population state, with only 30 delegates. California it the biggie today. It may be tomorrow or the next day before we know how California voted.

Yes we can! Illinois goes to Obama.

And McCain.

Looks like that pig in the parking lot is beginning to fan its wings.

I do believe he just caught a little air.

He'll never win the actual election, of course. Obama will turn him into a tent peg.

It sure would have been nice to have McCain from 2000 to 2008, and Obama lined up for the next eight. Woulda woulda woulda.

I have to keep to keep reminding myself that all the reasons McCain seems formidable to me (campaign finance reform, immigration, climate change) are the exact same reasons mainstream Republicans can't abide him.

We're better off in another timeline. Some wizard has bolloxed this one.

Fixed that for you.

That's only like 120 people anyway. Might as well let them. Pretty much every Southern state throws away more ballots from most every polling station anyway. They're not trying to skew the results. They just can't count that high.

(Just being anal, as usual. Don't mind me.)

Meanwhile ... Obama wins in Alabama. Mississippi Goddamn!

Gore framed! Canadian ballots were not counted!

Sorry. Couldn't resist.
