Hey, stop your whining.
quote:
Phil Gramm, the former Texas senator and an economic adviser to John McCain, told a Washington newspaper that Americans have become "a nation of whiners" and that the economic recession that has descended upon us in the final months of the Bush presidency is all in our heads.
This from the moron that helped write the laws that gave us this credit/foreclosure mess.

Beautiful.

Obama May Sponsor Car At Nascar Race
quote:
SI.com has learned that for the first time in history, a major presidential candidate may sponsor a race car in NASCAR's premier series. According to sources, Barack Obama's campaign is in talks to become the primary sponsor of BAM Racing's No. 49 Sprint Cup car for the Pocono race on August 3. Details of the agreement are expected to be worked out over the coming days.
Cool.

Abu Dhabi makes about $350 million per day on it's oil. Figure that's about $250 million profit. They're buying up everything they can find worldwide with that money advantage.

But how much of an advantage is it really?

When you consider that's about what the occupation in Iraq costs U.S. taxpayers daily.

It's becoming apparent that our only hope for actually catching Osama Bin Laden is the diplomatic approach Obama has suggested in opposition to the obviously failing military reliant clusterfuck preferred by the gop.

Oh..it's what I was thinking.
quote:
"The intent of the cover is to satirize the vicious and racist attacks and rumors and misconceptions about the Obamas that have been floating around in the blogosphere and are reflected in public opinion polls," Remnick says. "What we set out to do was to throw all these images together, which are all over the top and to shine a kind of harsh light on them, to satirize them. That’s part of what we do."

From here.

Everyone knows it doesn't matter who wins in November. What we're doing this election is hiring a janitor to clean up a big rich kids mess.

It's why they allowed him to win by messing so hard with Hillary.

They don't want the job, they want a scapegoat.

The problem is that a certain piece of the American public believes to an alarming degree that he is a Muslim and likes Osama. The New Yorker cover (being as they support Obama) was a stupid move.

Now, granted Joe at the Mill wasn't going to swing by Tyler's Bait and Liquor on the way home and pick up a copy of Juggs along with his New Yorker, but this kind of picture was bound to get attention and it only fuels an ignorant view that many Americans have according to "pools."

So, why did they do it?

Did you know that the term "redneck" comes from the red bandannas the Scotts or "hill billies" used to wear around their necks?

TO expose just how deeply rooted ignorance is in the psyche of most Americans.

Most people, really.

It's an elitist thing.

And because no one wants to see a OSB captured, which is what would happen via a diplomatic approach, prior to a public trial.

Most people don't want to know what happened, how it happened, or even if he did it. They have already formed their own beliefs around these questions that will never be answered. They already "know" what happened, even if the truth hasn't yet been outed.

They "know" they're right, and will not be told otherwise.

They just want blood.

But we all know who trained and handled OSB, and who his son is.

Belief in coincidence is the prevalent superstition of the age of science.
