I got nothing against Palin, she seems to be a good woman from a small town.

But, I'm with DP; for the love of God, she needs to stay in that small town.

Is this old news?

Trogdor! That's a little over the top, don't you think? It sounds like yet another call for a Republican Vice Presidential candidate assignation.

No fucking kids.

This means we won't be inundated with the press following the little fuckers around all their lives.

No drunken college scandals.

No marriage, career, or grandchildren to obsess about when there are very real things we're avoiding even mentioning.

Probably scares the shit out of the fundies, too. No watch and chain to hypnotize their mouthbreathing masses with.

huh?

I didn't think they had kids.
Guess I was wishing.

To be honest, it ought to be a disqualifier.

They're too distracting.

And as far as being over the top, I'm currently reading Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

Real eye-opener.

They're little kids. No college unless he gets a second term. Even then probably just freshman.

The Troopergate investigation results are scheduled to be released just days before the general election. HAS been so scheduled since way before Palin was chosen for VP.

Now the McCain camp is trying to delay it's release.

No shame. None. They've none at all.

I bet Cheney or Bush block the release claiming "Executive Privilege".

More!

quote:
Palin Refuses to Testify
It didn't take long. We've already brought you news of the official investigation into Gov. Palin's firing of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Steve Branchflower, the lead investigator, began trying to arrange a deposition of the governor days before her veep selection. And despite claiming executive privilege to shield requested emails, up until that point Palin had promised full cooperation with the probe.

Now, however, she is refusing to submit to questioning by Branchflower unless he and the legislative committee that appointed him agree to relinquish control of the investigation and turn it over to a state review board made up of three Palin appointees.

Yesterday, Palin took the unusual step of having her lawyer, Thomas van Flein, file an ethics complaint against her with the state's Attorney General. This, she hopes, will lead the AG to give the investigation to the aforementioned state personnel board. Unless that happens, and Branchflower agrees to close down his investigation, she will refuse to testify.

-- Josh Marshall

We may see a similarity here with Bush's Dept. of Justice and his White House aids. Republicans have seen so much of this that they require it of their candidates.

It's a skillset. Useful experience.

As is ignoring subpoenas.

Which is what comes next.

Keep in mind that this investigation is being done by a Republican legislature in a very Republican state.

Actually, she's trying to get the investigation turned over to the state personnel board.

Which is people she appointed.
