I think perhaps it's pressure from Obama's hawkish stance on Pakistan resulting in such dangerous incidents as the recent disastrous, alleged cross-border raid. Can Bush resist Obama's push for nuclear war in South Asia? Can the current administration stick to its cool-headed policy of peace in our time in the face of this kind of political pressure?

(Joking.) ((Sort of.))

Clark would be a decent choice. help offset his experience deficit.

Plus, a General outranks a Mccain.

Having Brezinzky as FP adviser is good sense. He pretty much designed the policy that created AQ. His thinking may be wrong or at least dangerous, but his knowledge of that sphere should be exceptional.

I see... Like hiring an arsonist for fire chief.
Makes sense!

No, not as fire chief. As arson consultant. He's an ADVISOR. Not a policy director. Also, Brezinski is pretty much a straight shooter. He says it like he sees it, and reads the data pretty cleanly. That's the guy I've read about in magazines for 20 years.

Last thing Obama needs are yes men.

I'm glad Obama has a hawkish component.

But then I'm glad we have an Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. I'm even glad we have people populating those services who enjoy their work... which is killing people and blowing shit up.

I want Obama to be just hawkish enough that he realizes the importance of those occupations, but is still VERY careful in putting them to use.
