I grew up on the Indiana Jones movies, I'm just stoked to go see it in theatres this time. First time I saw an Indiana movie was with my parents at the drive in movies... I think I was 5... Confused

Ubercanis:

I haven't read it! Like you I wouldn't necessarily want to before May 22, but afterwards I hope someone leaks his version. Yes I sincerely hope so. (Did you watch the Youtube clip, above? Perfect line-reversal!)

Meanwhile I encourage you to try Commando II. Its goodness may surprise. I also have JJ Abrams' Superman and Sterling Silliphant's Forbidden Planet remake, if you're interested.

What do you suppose Indy 4's "critters" will be?

Pants!

Indiana Jones . . . drive in . . .

Jealous!

I wish I had kids to take. Maybe it'll spawn a second trilogy.

Aw.

At least Christopher Nolan is happy you say so.

Speaking of trailers, the PG-13 guy always spoiled this one for me. (I know, "That's what ruined it for you?") . . .

That was a great article. My question is, what are the hidden images in the teaser poster? Or the hints? Or whatever?

Good question. The first poster has a dense pseudo-glyph texture. Maybe some of them aren't so pseudo-. (I re-watched Temple of Doom, by the way, and confound myself, enjoyed it).

I'd like your speculations on what Indy 4's creepy crawlies* might be. . . (all ya'll).

*So far: snakes, bugs 'n rats.

that leaves:

Maggots,
mice,
ferrets,
lizards,
babies,
um...

I vote for lizards or monkeys.

Hm, monkeys . . . so instead of "Oh, rats."

It'll go,

"Oh, bananas."

My favorite suggestion so far.

The rumor I heard is that they are big ants.

However, I am almost positive there will be a big jungle snake. Because they are going to nod at the history of Indy.

What do you mean "not so pseudo?" You think there will be hybrid bird men running around?

I'm going to see what Google has to say on this maybe secret.

I found this:

The last few weeks have been absolutely maggotty with rumors that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is going to feature a constabulary of slimy extraterrestrial grays. And if the recently released poster to Indy's upcoming adventure is anything to go by, those rumors may well be right. Look closely at the glowing skull behind Indy, and you can just make out the visage of a Whitley-Streiber-esque gray dotting the pineal gland.

I saw that, is that all the artist is talking about?

And it looks like it could easily be just another skull. I mean, I think there are aliens in the movie and I suppose that is what he's talking about, but it's not exactly a huge reveal, is it?

I bet on the big ants, that's a very South American thing.

Ants would work, provided they're not Them!-scaled. My brain doesn't want to settle, especially as "South America" represents so rich a biological stewpot. That said, I doubt Jones & Co. will be fleeing fleets of hyacinth macaws.

Your prior posts (2, mainly):

Struzan stresses two of the glyphs on the first poster's right side. Perhaps meaninglessly . . .

Otherwise we continue to guess at the secrets of the artverks.
